About Little Explorer Days
Little Explorer Days are special days for 3-5 year olds. Each day has its own theme and includes a mix of workshops, drop ins, make and take activities. Activities run from 1030-1530 and the Science Mall will open as normal between 10am and 5pm so there is plenty of time throughout the day to explore. Under 5s go free and adults pay standard Science Mall entry of £11.00. If you have a Science Passport you can use your Passport for admission as normal on Little Explorer Days.
Join us as we investigate seeds, bugs and pollination to discover how our garden grows.
Join our OPAL team and meet some of the minibeasts that live under your plant pots and in the long grass, then design your own mini Garden Monsters to take home;
In Seed Survival explore what is inside a seed and understand how seeds manage to grow, scatter and survive;
Learn how bees help our plants to grow and make a flower to take home, in The Buds and Bees drop-in workshop;
Make a Cress Monster to take home, pop it on the window ledge and watch it grow some crazy cress hair;
Bugs are wonderful for our gardens for all sorts of reasons. Make your own Minibeast Magnet to take home;
Drop-in and help us create a beautiful garden scene filled with flowers, trees, birds, and bees;
And, drop-in and discover what delicious foods can you make for your big people in our Kiddie Café.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Little Explorer Days are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
