Christmas Fair at George Square
1st December 2022 – 8th January 2023
There is nowhere quite like George Square at Christmas time. Enjoy our festive fun fair beneath the traditional twinkling Christmas lights set against the backdrop of the City Chambers. Join us on the open air ice rink, enjoy stunning views of the city from the 100ft plus observation wheel, delight at the traditional Victorian carousel, helter skelter and flying chairs and enjoy Christmas-themed entertainment with singers, dancers and surprise guests on our performance stage every afternoon. There are photo opportunities a plenty at Santa’s snow globe, as well as Santa’s flying balloons and a festive train ride!
Indulge yourself with a festive foody treat – choose from luxury hot chocolates, delicious crepes and wraps, Bratwurst and a whole lot more!

The Christmas Fair at George Square and its ice rink will open from Thursday 1st December to Sunday 8th January 2023 on the days and times below:
Monday to Friday: 10.00am-10.00pm, last skating session at 9.00pm – except for Thursday 1 December (noon-10.00pm); and Monday 26 December (noon-10.00pm).
Saturdays and Sundays: 10.00am-10.00pm, last skating session at 9.00pm – except for Saturday 24 December (10.00am-8.00pm, last skating session at 7.00pm); Sunday 25 December (CLOSED); Saturday December 31 (10.00am-8.00pm, last skating session at 7.00pm); and Sunday 1 January 2023 (CLOSED).
Monday 2nd January to the Sunday 8th January 10am till 10pm, last skating session 9pm.
We also have a chill-out zone, a calming and relaxing safe space ideal for any visitors with ASN or sensory issues.
Christmas Fair at St Enoch Square
18th November 2022 – 3rd January 2023
St Enoch Square is the place to be for festive thrill rides with The Blizzard, an immersive attraction where riders fly through the sky, reaching speeds of 70mph, or, if heights are your thing, then dare to take on the ice climbing wall – a 20ft structure where you can test your grip against the frosty elements!
Jump aboard Santa’s runaway train, bounce on the candy cane bungee trampolines and join family and friends for a festive photoshoot in Santa’s snow globe!
Indulge yourself with a festive foody treat – choose from luxury hot chocolates, delicious crepes and wraps, Bratwurst, and don’t forget to toast your own marshmallows round our festive fire pit!

The Christmas Fair at St Enoch Square will open from Saturday 18th November to Tuesday 3rd January 2023 on the days and times below:
Monday to Friday: noon-9.00pm – except for Thursday 22 December and Friday 23 December (10.00am-9.00pm); Tuesday 27 December-Friday 30 December (10.00am-9.00pm); and Monday 2 January and Tuesday 3 January 2023 (10.00am-9.00pm).
Saturdays and Sundays: 10.00am-9.00pm – except for Saturday 18 November (noon-9.00pm); Saturday 24 December (10.00am-8.00pm); Sunday 25 December (CLOSED); Saturday 31 December (10.00am-8.00pm); and Sunday 1 January 2023 (CLOSED).
