About BBC Proms in the Park Scotland

Staged on Glasgow Green in the heart of the city, Scotland’s Proms in the Park will once again be a celebration of music of many kinds. So come along and enjoy an evening of wonderful open air musical entertainment and share it with live audiences on BBC television and radio.

The world class BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Bell, takes centre stage performing classical pieces, traditional Scottish reels as well as some well-known favourites. On the night the BBC SSO will also be joined by a number of special guests, to be announced shortly, who will bring a range of performances live to Glasgow Green for an evening of magical music.

It will be presented by tenor and BBC Radio Scotland presenter Jamie MacDougall.

Proms in the Park is part of the annual spectacular culmination of two months of music-making at the BBC Proms, as the world-famous Last Night celebrations spill out from London's Royal Albert Hall and thousands of people come together at venues across the UK to be part of the magic of the Last Night.

Tickets for the event are on sale on Friday 19 May at 12noon and are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or by calling 0844 844 0444 costing £15.50 and £7.50 for concessions.
