IRN-BRU Carnival
Come along to the Scottish Event Campus for plenty of festive family fun with Christmas favourite, the IRN-BRU Carnival!
About IRN-BRU Carnival
The IRN-BRU Carnival is celebrating 100 years of fun in Glasgow this year and will be returning to the SEC on December 20th – January 12th promising to be bigger and better than ever.
A festive institution in Glasgow, the Carnival first took place in 1919 at the Kelvin Hall, with classic stalls such as hook-a-duck, the dodgems and the coconut shy, and through the years it was also home to a circus – with many people remembering the smell of elephants. It soon became one of the city’s biggest festive events. The show rolled on to the SEC Glasgow in 1986, where it has been drawing in the crowds ever since.
With over 65 rides and attractions to choose from, there’s something for people if all ages to enjoy its centenary year.
You can test your bravery on the new Techno Power, and outside the venue you’ll find a 40m high Star Flyer. Both are new additions to the carnival for 2019 and are guaranteed to excite even the biggest daredevils. And you’ll be able to enjoy the traditional family favourites, from sticky wall to the dodgems to celebrate the centenary there will also be a vintage ferris wheel to try.
The IRN-BRU Carnival returns on Friday 20 December 2019 and will be open until Sunday 12th January 2020* in the SEC, Glasgow. Standard entry tickets are available from £13 with kids under three going for free.
