A weekend jam-packed with musical activity for children and their families is heading to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall this autumn, when the hugely popular Big Music for Minis returns.
This annual event featuring concerts, workshops and creative fun for babies, toddlers and children aged up to 7 years-old and their families takes place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October. Lots of events are free.
The line-up for Big Music for Minis includes leading musical organisations and family favourites, all presented by Glasgow Music.
Treats in store include Funbox presenting their brand new show Highland Fling. Wear something Tartan and join in the fun. The performance is followed by the chance to have your picture taken with Anya, Gary and Kevin in the Funbox Photo Zone.
Enjoy live, high quality music with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra’s Big Ears, Little Ears in a relaxed environment where gurgling, laughing crying and toddling around is definitely allowed.
Combining magical music, brilliant story-telling and interactive play, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and presenter Lisa Rourke guarantee big surprises and lots of fun in Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Explore the wacky world of cartoon music from Spongebob Squarepants, Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry and many more, with Stu Brown and his brilliant band in Twisted Toons.
Musicians from Live Music Now Scotland will be playing a selection of classical, contemporary and traditional tunes to enjoy together in the Family Cafe.

Get ready to groove to top tunes all played at a baby friendly volume in instructor led sessions in the Family Dance Zone.
A Cabaret Show for children and their families featuring live music, mime and lots and lots of audience participation is on the bill when the Creative Martyrs present their Kids Cabaret.
There’s also the chance to experiment and explore sound with Try Out with the team from Tramway - all as part of two very special days for all the family.
