La chimie organique est très souvent associée à la synthèse de nouveaux médicaments et la synthèse des polymères pour les plastiques et les emballages. De nos jours, la demande d’énergie continue de monter, le changement climatique devient de plus en plus difficile à contrôler, et des changements irréversibles nous présentent un ultimatum. Dr. Alan Wiles, chercheur en chimie des matériaux organiques, décrira un aspect de ce que peut apporter la chimie organique pour aider à la production, au stockage et à l’utilisation de l’énergie renouvelable.
