Sunday 1st October: Superhero Masks

Make a superhero mask inspired by the animals in the Kelvingrove Life Gallery and the superheroes featured in the Frank Quitely Exhibition.

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th October: Re-create a Painting
1.30–4pm | Family 5+
Investigate our Joan Eardley painting ‘Two Children’ and recreate your very own artwork to take away using lots of different art techniques and materials!

Come along and meet the Museums team to hear about the work that we do and find out how our visitors and supporters help us to take care of and preserve our wonderful collections.

Wednesday 18th October: Motif Cards and Badges

Take a close look at Mackintosh and Glasgow Style to find a pattern then create an impressive badge on our badge maker.

Wednesday 18th October: The Big Banner Project

Contribute to the making of a Mackintosh Willow Tea Room style banner while learning how to stencil Glasgow roses. Workshop led by Elisabeth Viguie-Culshaw, stencilling artist.

Thursday 19th October: Minature Book Making

Our Glasgow Style gallery is full of designs which hint of fairyland. Take a close look at the designs in the gallery and use them as inspiration to design your own mini fairy book.

Saturday 21st October: Fairy Tales
1.30–4pm | Family 5+
Come along to Kelvingrove Winter Grotto where the Fairy Grandmother will be telling seasonal stories and fairy tales. Story sessions last 15 – 20 minutes

Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd October: Ecozones: Indo-Malaya
1.30–4pm | Family 5+
The Indo-Malaya Ecozone stretches through Southeast Asia and includes India, Pakistan, Burma and Indonesia. Find out more about what Eco-zones actually are and also find out about some of the animals, people and culture from Indo-Malaya.

Sunday 22nd October: RSPB - Hedgehogs and Habitats
1–4pm | RSPB members £3, non-members £5 | Booking at gnahg@rspb.org.uk
As the autumn nights close in it is time to make sure we are looking out for our prickly friends. Join the RSPB and Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre to look at how to improve your garden or green space for hedgehogs and what to do if you find a poorly one!

At this very atmospheric time of year we will explore some of the mysterious objects in Kelvingrove and journey in story and song to lands other than these. Please feel free to come in your Hallowe’en guise.

Salsa and Afro beats weave together in patterns that sound complex and stir the soul as well as the feet. Let's work together to build up some beats!

Learn the craft of willow weaving at this practical workshop, using natural materials to create beautiful Christmas wreaths and other fantastic crafts.

Add even more Christmas joy to your tree by making a special decoration for it.
