Summer Pottery Camps

About Summer Pottery Camps

This summer we are going to be running a record number of three camps!

In addition to our usual week-long clay camp covering the fundamental techniques of ceramics, we will also be running a special GARDEN EDITION CLAY CAMP where we will be making ceramics specifically for your garden!

Our CLAY CAMP this year will run from Monday 9th - Friday 13th of July and will cover:

- hand building
- coil pots
- slip casting
- basic wheel work

An excellent introduction to all things ceramic! Throughout the week we will be using a range of fundamental clay techniques to create all sorts of wonderful ceramics to take home, such as animals, portraits, pots and mugs! As per usual we will arrange a date (usually the following weekend) where the camp participants can come back to paint their creations!

Our GARDEN EDITION CLAY CAMP will run in two separate blocks, from Monday 23rd - Friday 27th July and there will be another block running from Monday 6th - Friday 10th August! This camp will cover the same fundamental techniques and wheel lesson as above which we will use to make:

- planters
- bird houses
- wind chimes
- bug hotels

...and more!

This camp is perfect for all you budding eco-warriors out there! It’s an excellent follow-on from our clay camp but for beginners our lovely ceramicists Holly and Becca will be on hand to help make your ideas come true! This camp will also give students a chance to incorporate their own ideas into the workshop, so the bigger the imagination the better! At the end of the week, campers will have a range of beautiful and functional pieces to bring home for the garden.

Both camps will run from 10am - 2pm Monday - Friday with an additional painting workshop morning the following weekend. Camps are open to ages 8+ and will be £80 for the full week or £20 per day if you can’t make the full week!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Summer Pottery Camps are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
