Continuing our season of live acoustic sets in the Vic Bar, The Seven Song Club presents:

Friday 31st August: Stuart David (Looper)
Stuart David is a Scottish musician, songwriter and novelist, famed for originating two distinct musical genres - Folk Hop and Horror Pop (later termed Noir'n'B or Switchblade Pop. He co-founded the band Belle and Sebastian and was a member from 1996–2000, and then went on to front Looper. He has also published five novels with his fifth, Peacock's Alibi, was recently published by Polygon.

This rare small theatre show from Looper will feature acoustic and electric performances of a selection of the band’s back catalogue and feature songs from recent acoustic album, 'Quiet & Small'. This is a show not to be missed.

Friday 28th September: Francis Macdonald
Francis Macdonald drums with Teenage Fanclub and makes music for filmmakers/TV. Clash magazine describes him as "a composer of rare skill and subtlety". In 2017 he released "Bonjour" an album of 'art pop' songs in collaboration the London artists Harry Pye - "Odd but good" **** - Mojo

Support is from two excellent acts who are playing at the Club for the first time. This will be a never again repeated billing and worth the ticket price for any one of these amazing performers.

Friday 26th October: Jim McAteer
Jim McAteer is a well loved poet, singer songwriter from Glasgow. For many years he has played support to others at hundreds of events across Scotland and this is his first headline show at the Seven Song Club. With his debut album recently released he will be playing songs from this record and his extensive back catalogue of excellent (and sometimes very funny) compositions.

This will be a show of surprises and if we applaud loud enough we may persuade the maestro to play us some boogie woogie piano, a talent he rarely shares preferring his trusty guitar to back up what many regard as one of the finest singers around. Kitty will be playing her very cool songs on the house piano and we are excited as this is her first solo show at the Seven Song Club.

Additional Dates: 26 October 2018

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Seven Song Club are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
