About Memory Fest ‘17

Can you believe it is almost 12 months since the first Memory Fest live music event, raising money and awareness for Dementia and Alzheimers?

Such a lot has happened since then, including a one off event in Oban which was also very successful raising more money and awareness for Alzheimers and Dementia charities.

You may recall the charity events were set up by my wife, Cathy and I after our first-hand experience of this dreadful condition that seems to be affecting more and more people. Sadly my Dad passed away in September however we are continuing with Memory Fest in his memory and the next Live Music event is taking place on 30 April 2017 at Club Bliss in Kirkintilloch.

John McKie and his band, The Amused Owls have once again agreed to support us and will be joined this year by another Band, Evolution.

This year we have decided not to split the monies raised between two charities and all proceeds will be going to Alzheimer Scotland.

We still have our Website and Facebook page and these will be added to during the lead up to the event, so please keep checking and share when you can. The more exposure we get the more opportunities to raise funds!

Tickets are all printed and on sale now from various places. Your readers that came along to last year’s event will remember what a great evening it was, so hopefully they will be able to join us again this year.

If people cannot get along to the event for whatever reason, but would like to make a donation they can do this on our Just Giving page.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Memory Fest ‘17 are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
