Sandi Thom - Live

About Sandi Thom - Live

Banff born singer-songwriter Sandi Thom shot to fame in 2006 when her debut single "I Wish I was a Punk Rocker" reached number 1 in the UK Charts as well as reaching top position in 6 other countries including 10 weeks at the top of the Australian music charts. Certified double-platinum, the single is one of the best known songs of the decade. To add to this her debut album "Smile...It Confuses People" was certified platinum by BPI after selling 300,000 copies.

Sandi Thom is a unique singer/songwriter in today's music industry, with an undoubted passion for what she does and a refreshing honesty. On top of all of this she is an extremely talented musician who can play guitar, piano and harmonica but perhaps her most striking talent is her voice and her song writing ability. She has been likened to a modern day Joni Mitchell but with the voice of Janis Joplin; able to grab an audience and take them on a journey through her powerful vocals and strong message behind her lyrics.

Sandi Thom Live is a show which covers all of her big hits as well as some of Sandi's favourite tracks from other artists, putting her own unique twist on them and all with the accompaniment of her live band, creating a full sound to compliment this outstanding talent. Fusion Functions & Events are proud to bring Sandi to Oran Mor, Glasgow
