About Scottish Pipe Band Championships

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2019 Scottish Pipe Band Championships at Levengrove Park, Dumbarton on Saturday, 27 July. West Dunbartonshire are proud host of this spectacular event for the twentieth year running. With over 125 pipe bands, first class entertainment and traditional highland dancing all on offer, why not come along and witness the sound of Scotland first hand. Best of all, the event is FREE.

There’s a wide range of traders offering Scottish themed goods, pipe band accessories, arts and crafts, clothing, handbags, jewellery and much more. Plus, we have a large fun fair with all the traditional amusements to keep the kids entertained throughout the day.

If you’re feeling hungry you won’t be disappointed as we have oven fired pizzas, authentic Greek food, fish & chips, burgers, crepes and much more. Thirsty? Why not enjoy a refreshing cool drink at our huge bar or a cocktail at our gin bar?

Visit our family fun area where we have children’s magic shows, balloon modelling and Alien Laserquest. Are you brave enough to take on the Laserquest? This truly impressive game can be played in teams or solo with the ability to take up to 12-players at one time.

Finally, there’s a range of fun sporting activities, delivered by WD Leisure – all free. There’s also ample car parking (£5 per car) and railway links, alight at Dalreoch station and follow the crowd!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Scottish Pipe Band Championships are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
