About Ghosts of Glenlee

Join our Scottish Ghost Nights crew as they set sail into the night on a voyage of paranormal discovery... Will you be brave enough to last the night or will you jump ship?

History
Launched in 1896, the Glenlee has sailed the world delivering cargo before becoming a Naval training ship and part of the Spanish Republican Navy. She was derigged in 1981 and almost forgotten as she sat in Seville. She was in such poor condition that it was eventually decided to scrap her. In 1990 a British naval architect (Dr. Sir John Brown, 1901-2000) discovered the ship and in 1993 she was rescued from being scrapped and subsequently bought by the Clyde Maritime Trust. She was repaired and returned to Glasgow where she now proudly sits as part of the Riverside museum. The Glenlee is part of the National Historic Fleet. It is the only surviving ship of it’s original fleet, so literally a ghost ship…

Ghosts of Glenlee
With reports of shadowy figures, unexplained changes in temperature, strange knocking sounds, unexplained flashes of light and feelings of unease this location appears to be more of a ghost ship. There have been prior paranormal investigations on board the Glenlee by the Ghostclub and it has featured on Derek Acorahs Ghost Towns. Mediums who have visited have picked up on various spirits with a strong emotional connection to the ship. It has been some time since the ship was investigated so will the spirits be lying in wait desperate to communicate with us? Or will they try to frighten us away? We have 5hrs of darkness to find out!
