The Scottish Outdoor Naturist Club hosts a residential weekend on the beautiful Island of Inchmurrin, Loch Lomond.
Open to all, regardless of age, ability or experience. Exercises can be practiced either seated or standing.
An invitation to explore Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing, Stillness, Self Massage and Free Movement. There will be 4 workshops throughout the weekend, with time to relax, socialize and enjoy the simplicity of being in nature, together with using the clubs facilities.
Working with the deeper principles of being present, relaxing, and opening the heart, bringing you to a place where you can move with agility, fluidity and compassion.
"I can feel energy flowing through me, and feel calmer and more relaxed".
"It seemed so simple, but made me aware of how much tension I hold in my body".
Led by Teena Gould, experienced Tai Chi and Soul Moves teacher.
Workshops are held indoors or outside depending on the weather. Most participants are naked for the workshops. This is not a requirement as we understand that some people may wish to take their time to accustom themselves to the naturist club environment.
At other times you can use all the club’s facilities including 11 acres of grounds, lounge, self-catering kitchen, sauna, hot showers, miniten court, table tennis or perhaps sunbathe and swim in the loch. Other options include (clothed) exploration of the island which boasts wonderful panoramas, a network of paths, shingle strands, woodland, a ruined castle and licensed hotel.
Open to members and non-members alike, accommodation is in the club house, chalets or camping. Accompanied children are welcome.
We have a 'bring food to share' lunch both days where bread is provided. Please advise of dietary requirements when booking. You should bring any other food, snacks and drinks you would wish to have. We recommend bringing some drinking water to avoid having to boil our spring water. We can only offer such outstanding value for money because we are a member run club. We ask visitors to help with setting out and clearing up at meal times, stripping and remaking beds as well as cleaning and tidying on the Sunday afternoon. The ferry leaves Balmaha on the Eastern shore of Loch Lomond at 7pm on the Friday evening, returning at 5.30pm on the Sunday. Return fare £11/ £5 child.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Naturist Club Mind and Body Weekend are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
