About Walking Through the History of Public Health

Take a walk along the spine of old Glasgow, from the medieval cathedral to the River Clyde.

See some reminders of how pioneers of public health - in all its forms - saved the inner city from overcrowded housing, poor drinking water and sanitation, unhealthy diets, epidemics, and airborne pollution. Dr Ronnie Scott, a historian of Glasgow, will also show how the present city reflects changing attitudes to health and disease prevention.

Tickets cost £5 and must be booked in advance by phone.

Please call 02920546460 to book a place.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Walking Through the History of Public Health are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
