Thieves, murderers, pirates and highwaymen - Glasgow has seen its fair share of all of them and dealt with them ruthlessly.
Today we examine the dark history of crime and punishment in the city, starting at that notorious haunt of body snatchers - Ramshorn cemetery - then proceeding to the Glasgow Tollbooth, where many a villain was imprisoned and cruelly tortured, and ending up in front of the Old High Court where public executions used to attract huge crowds of onlookers
Total distance covered will be about 1.5 miles (3k). Trainers suitable, please dress according to the weather.
