Art is the Flower

About Art is the Flower

The Hill House - 4 hour workshop with Elizabeth Viguie-Culshaw, expert stencilling artist.

Eco print and stencil your Christmas cards, using autumn leaves from the garden of The hill House.

In the steps of Charles Rennie Mackintosh we will look towards flowers and leaves for inspiration in this workshop lead by Elisabeth Viguie-Culshaw a Glasgow based artist. We will use botanical resources found both in the house and the garden of The Hill House for inspiration to create a beautiful set of unique Christmas cards.

We will spend a little time collecting some beautiful autumn leaves from the garden before making our way into the old kitchen where we will be mark making on different kind of paper using eco printing, stencilling and rubbing. The designs produced will be used to make a number of unique Christmas cards, each become a little work of art in itself.

No previous experience needed for this workshop just a desire to be creative. This is suitable for anyone above 16.

Material, tea and coffee will be available on the day but no lunch, there will be a small break for the lunch you have brought with you.

You will produce a set of blank cards perfect for Christmas coming with envelope ready to be used.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Art is the Flower are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
