Scotland’s top Afro and Caribbean-inspired musicians come together this October for a musical celebration to mark Black History Month.
From West African dance and percussion group Ayawara, to the hugely popular soul and funk band Tom McGuire and the Brassholes, Fusion Reunite is set to bring the funk and reggae party to Glasgow.
“There is so much talent in the Glasgow music scene, and we wanted to do something really special to mark Black History Month”, says event organiser Caroline Graham.
Headlining the night and bringing all the acts together is the amazing Glasgow Gospel Choir, with members of all the acts performing having been in the popular community choir over the years.
“The Glasgow Gospel Choir has been a springboard for so many brilliant acts”, continues Caroline, “we felt that this was the perfect opportunity to showcase all that talent, raise funds for a great cause and have a brilliant night in the process!”
Funds raised from the concert will go to children’s charities in Liberia, where Glasgow Gospel Choir founder Jerry Boweh is from.
