About Gong Yoga Nidra - Journey to the Self

“Total harmonious relaxation cures the body. To achieve this there must be a coordination between the three facets of ourselves: body, mind, and soul.” – Yogi Bhajan

This blissful 90-minute session will start with gentle exercise, pranayama (breath work) and mantra followed by yoga nidra (guided meditation) to prepare the mind and body to receive the healing vibrations of Symphonic and Venus gongs.

The gong is a healing tool for the nervous system. The sound of the gong creates deep relaxation, stimulates the glandular system and releases us from the torrents of our subconscious thoughts that often hold us back and mask our true radiance.

The gong’s rhythmic overtones impact the body and its meridians and help clear the aura. They penetrate every cell and fibre of the body releasing blocks (energetic and emotional), reducing nervous tension and stress while boosting circulation. The resulting benefits are greater self-awareness and a deeper inner connection. Only when the mind is still can you shift out of your head and into your heart and experience your true Self – your natural home – your Sat Nam.

Bring a bottle of water, a light blanket and cushion. No previous experience necessary. Not suitable during pregnancy.
