Drever McCusker Woomble and support

About Drever McCusker Woomble and support

It’s hard to believe that a whole decade has passed since folk stars Kris Drever and John McCusker teamed up with Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble, to venture beyond comfort-zones and explore fresh collaborative territory, resulting in the much-loved album Before the Ruin.

Competing claims on the three artists’ time saw their subsequent paths diverge, but each has met fans of the record all round the world, despite the songs’ lying fallow since its promotional tour.

Thoroughly fired up with rekindled collective chemistry, the trio reunite here – joined by Louis Abbott (drums) and Euan Burton (bass) - to mark that tenth anniversary at the 25th Celtic Connections, bringing a further wealth of experience to this jointly-forged material.
