Brian Ó hEadhra & Fiona Mackenzie with Hecla

About Brian Ó hEadhra & Fiona Mackenzie with Hecla

Between them, Irish and Scottish Gaels Brian Ó hEadhra and Fiona Mackenzie have featured in line-ups including Anam, Mackenzie and Cruinn, and on more than 30 recordings. Drawing on the full wealth of their common heritage, they perform both traditional and original Gaelic songs, in both kindred tongues, as well as self-penned material in English, reflecting their tastes and travels via Nordic, Americana and indie influences, ahead of their debut duo album in 2018.

Nurtured by Lews Castle College UHI’s idyllic Uist campus, the sparkling young trio Hecla, on pipes, whistles, fiddle, guitar and vocals, put their own winningly fresh spin on Gaelic songs and tunes.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Brian Ó hEadhra & Fiona Mackenzie with Hecla are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
