About Ross Ainslie & The Sanctuary Band and Brighde Chaimbeul
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Acclaimed Perthshire piper and multi-instrumentalist Ross Ainslie launches his third solo album Sanctuary, a distillation of his globe-trotting experiences in acts including Treacherous Orchestra, Salsa Celtica, India Alba and duos with Jarlath Henderson and Ali Hutton. An all-original, through-composed work, weaving in diverse world-music sounds, it’s performed here with album guests Steven Byrnes, Greg Lawson, Hamish Napier, James Lindsay and Cormac Byrne.
Winner of the 2016 BBC Young Folk Award, when she was just 17, Skye piper Brighde Chaimbeul is one of Scotland’s fastest rising stars. While firmly rooted in her native Gaelic culture, her dynamic yet sensitive playing also draws on Bulgarian, Cape Breton and Irish traditions.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Ross Ainslie & The Sanctuary Band and Brighde Chaimbeul are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
