Swarb! It Suits Him Well

About Swarb! It Suits Him Well

Featuring The Jason Wilson Band, Martin Carthy, John Kirkpatrick & Simon Swarbrick.

An all-star tribute to the late great English fiddler, singer and songwriter Dave Swarbrick, celebrating the man and his music in company with some of his closest collaborators.

The show spans the entirety of his remarkable six-decade career, from his early mentorship by Beryl Marriott, via the Ian Campbell Folk Group, the Radio Ballads, Fairport and beyond, to his final recording project Kailyard Tales, with Canadian folk/reggae artist Jason Wilson.

‘Swarb’ and Martin Carthy formed one of the 1960s’ best-loved duos, and both artists later featured with squeezebox maestro John Kirkpatrick in Band of Hope, while nephew and protégé Simon Swarbrick carries the torch into the future.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Swarb! It Suits Him Well are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
