Frank Turner and support

About Frank Turner and support

Since the demise of his former punk/hardcore outfit, Million Dead, in 2005, Frank Turner has channelled that genre’s same visceral intensity into his solo career, winning a devoted arena-scale fanbase via six studio albums and some 2200 shows.

Defiantly uplifting, often autobiographical anthems, many born of life on the road, his songs are chorused by crowds more akin to enraptured congregations. For Turner, however, any artistic comfort-zone is “a terrible place to be” - hence announcing his seventh album, due in 2018, as a “radical departure”, centred on classic soul and EDM influences.

“A Pentecostal punk-pop missionary relentlessly spreading his sermon on the life-saving power of human union and rock’n’roll” (NME)
