An Evening with LAU

Celtic Connections: Don't miss an evening with LAU as they get set to deliver a retrospective, celebratory set-list at City Halls!

An Evening with LAU

About An Evening with LAU

In the words of singer/guitarist Kris Drever, Lau play “folk music from a made-up country”, while fiddler Aidan O’Rourke sees them as “one instrument that it takes three people to operate”.

Having begun stacking up critical superlatives and major awards with 2007’s deceptively-titled debut Lightweights and Gentlemen, the Scottish super-trio (completed by accordionist/ noise-maker Martin Green) have excelled themselves consistently ever since, on three more studio albums and one live release, with a poll of fans cherry-picking the tracks for 2017’s anniversary compilation Decade.

Despite their exceptional studio wizardry, though, it’s in the live arena that Lau truly make jaws drop, here delivering a similarly retrospective, celebratory set-list.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for An Evening with LAU are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
