About A New International
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
'A Night at the Theatre' is a concert in two halves featuring the world premiere of a new collection of songs by A New International for a forthcoming theatrical production by Vanishing Point, scheduled for a national tour in Autumn 2018. Inspired by classic songwriters of musical theatre such as Kurt Weill and Lionel Bart, by Weimar-era cabaret, classic chanson and on through popular west-end showtunes, these songs find themselves in a musical space somewhere in between Leonard Cohen and The Muppets.
This special performance will see A New International create a dramatic, lyrical evening of song, at times bawdy, anarchic, satirical and melancholy, yet with a strong sense of melodicism throughout as jolly showtunes, tragic ballads and bonkers bacchanalia are all belted out to the backdrop of a band as a haunted cabaret act and the soundtrack to a darkly comic opera.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for A New International are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
