Molsky’s Mountain Drifters with Salt House
Celtic Connections: Old-time singer/multi-instrumentalist, and longtime festival favourite, Bruce Molsky returns with a new Mountain Drifters line-up!
About Molsky’s Mountain Drifters with Salt House
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Drawing comparisons to such legendary three-piece outfits as Cream and the Bill Evans Trio, old-time singer/multi-instrumentalist – and longtime Celtic Connections favourite - Bruce Molsky’s new Mountain Drifters line-up thrillingly unites him with two of US roots music’s outstanding young talents: banjo innovator Allison de Groot and ex-Deadly Gentleman guitarist Stash Wyslouch. “The three of us have this incredible musical conversation,” Molsky says. “I feel I am riding this beautiful crest of a wave!”
Scottish trio Salt House - fiddler Lauren MacColl, multi-instrumentalist Ewan MacPherson and singer-songwriter Jenny Sturgeon – forge a freshly distinctive alloy of traditional songs and original composition. Tonight’s show launches their new album Undersong.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Molsky’s Mountain Drifters with Salt House are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
