Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer and Teddy Thompson

About Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer and Teddy Thompson

Alabama-born sisters Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer have each forged highly individual, equally successful careers from shared Southern musical roots. Their first ever joint recording, 2017’s bewitching Not Dark Yet, invokes those beginnings in covers of the Louvin Brothers, Merle Haggard and Jessi Colter, while other songs, from sources as diverse as The Killers, Nick Cave, Townes Van Zandt and Nirvana, highlight every facet and nuance of their mesmeric vocal kinship.

Teddy Thompson is an acclaimed singer-songwriter with a career that has consistently garnered critical praise. NPR proclaims that he’s “the musical equivalent of an arrow to the heart,” while The New York Times calls his work “beautifully finessed.” In 2008, Thompson released the upbeat and highly acclaimed, A Piece of What You Need, which was declared “one of this year’s best” by The Guardian and debuted at #9 in the UK’s pop charts.. A fifth studio effort, Bella, was released February 2011 to much acclaim and led to touring the world with Elton John among other things.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer and Teddy Thompson are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
