Short course (4 weekly 2-hour sessions) for pregnant women from 14 weeks onwards.
Learn about the changes happening in your body during late pregnancy, labour and birth and yoga techniques you can use to support you during this time, meet other expectant mothers, practice in a small group, include your birth partner in our partner session, no yoga experience necessary.
The classes are a mix of antenatal education and yoga practice (including postures and movements, mindfulness and meditation techniques, and breathing and relaxation exercises).
The small group allows opportunity for discussion and questions as well as a chance to connect with other pregnant women and share experiences.
The focus is on preparing you to have as positive a birth experience as possible regardless of the choices you make about the birth of your baby or the course that it takes.
Partner session in Week 4 when birth partners are invited to attend but you are welcome to come alone if you would prefer, or indeed bring another supportive person with you.
Sundays (for 4 weeks) 12noon-2pm in the Glad Foundation Green Room, (Glad Cafe building) Shawlands.

About the teacher:
Susie studied medicine and later, psychology and has a background in mental health support and public health research. She is a registered yoga and pregnancy yoga teacher. She has two children and is a facilitator for the Positive Birth Movement.
