Upcycling Furniture Workshop

About Upcycling Furniture Workshop

A perfect workshop for learning the tricks of the trade... over 8 Thursday nights ! A total of 24 hours. This is a great course to get you into Up-Cycling.

With over 20 years of Up-cycling practise I will wake you to the world of transforming aged furniture using low cost items.

Distressing, Antiquing, Chalk Paint, Crackle Paint are some of the many technics you can use at low cost to revamp your tired any piece of furniture or small object... During this 4 sessions class you will be taught how to use standard household paint and brushes to give a new identity to your tired furniture.

I will teach you the tricks of the trade on flat boards so you can achieve your desired goal without breaking the bank... No specialised expensive chalk paint or varnish here... Just specialised skills which you will develop on the day. You will also be able to work on one small piece of furniture or small item/box (small side table is perfect)

You will be welcomed in my studio by a fresh cup of coffee at each session and during the session we will have a technical session of 15 mns when you will learn a new skill which you may chose to incorporate in your work. The rest of the time you will work at developing your own style on your own piece with my guidance.

My studio is based a few minutes walks from the Kelvinbridge underground and you will find there plenty of parking albeith some of it is pay and display until 6pm.

Please plan to wear old clothes we will work with paints and brushes which could stain your clothes. The piece you are working on will be safe in my studio between sessions.

Original boards, all equipment used and basic paint/varnishes are included in the price. You are welcome to bring in any additional paint/varnishes
