Tim the Mute & Mi’ens with Jealous Girlfriend & Chrissy Barnacle

About Tim the Mute & Mi’ens with Jealous Girlfriend & Chrissy Barnacle

Vancouver's Tim the Mute has Glasgow in his heart and a third album (recorded here back in September) on the way, take a listen to the last one and get excited (ffo: mushy peas, trains and irn bru); https://kingfisherbluez.bandcamp.com/album/take-my-life-please

"As Tim The Mute, Tim Clapp seems to take cathartic, almost masochistic pleasure in writing about the saddest shit ever. The weird part is that he’s one of the sunniest people around." - citr.ca

Mi'ens are a two-piece, also from Vancouver, playing a "complex conversational" mixture of noise, mathrock and sparklepop. Take a listen here: https://mi-ens.bandcamp.com/

Jealous Girlfriend is my favourite song-writer in the whole world, with brutally honest lyrics to slice your heart in two without you minding. You may have seen Eilidh in other bands such as Breakfast Muff and Rapid Tan but Jealous Girlfriend might be their best work. Here's a couple of tracks right here: https://skipierage.bandcamp.com/track/a2-existential-salad
https://nodicetapes.bandcamp.com/track/jealous-girlfriend-youre-not-broken

If you're lucky enough to know Chrissy Barnacle personally you will know she tells the best stories. If not then thankfully this transfers perfectly into her music, weaving together chapters of heartbreak, love and heartbreak (again) with added skeletons, cannibal rats and werewolves. https://chrissybarnacle.bandcamp.com/

Pay what you can, with a suggestion of £5 to go fully towards the bands, but nobody turned away.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Tim the Mute & Mi’ens with Jealous Girlfriend & Chrissy Barnacle are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
