Ksenia Kay orginally hails from Siberia. Newly arrived in Glasgow she is becoming known for her mix of original material https://youtu.be/fk53_4He808 and stylish edgy covers https://youtu.be/eD9prhdlBik.
After cutting her teeth in the music scene in Russia she decided to use her self-taught English to go and see what the rest of the world had to offer. Supporting herself by teaching English, she has lived in countries from Vietnam to Hungary and eventually ended up in England. In Oxford K formed the band Stolby, whose first single '40 Below' was picked up by BBC Introducing and led to a gig at O2 Academy in 2016 and radio airtime. They were featured numerous times in the local music magazine Night shift and in 2018 together released their first EP Just One More.
Mike Edwards is well known on the Glasgow scene. Originally growing up a Falkirk bairn, Mike made the short move to Glasgow the long way round via Canada and New Zealand. A self taught musician who came to music later in life than some, he has progressed through the rite of passage of performing at open mics to gain experience and playing time, to a position where he is now lucky enough to be gigging for a living. He is looking forward to leaving cover land behind and getting the chance to indulge in an original set of his own music"
Xavier Cardriche is an American singer-songwriter and has released 3 studio albums blending rock, folk, alt-country, and R&B. With an attentive affection for lyrics, Xavier often uses narrative detail to establish a foundation for a song, as well as to root the energy of his live performances.
The coupling of his sound with visually detailed stories aligns with the spirit of early folk artists such as Donovan, Richie Havens, and Bill Withers. Additionally, audiences have stated influences of such greats as Mark Knopfler, Van Morrison, and Billy Bragg can also be heard.
