Tai Chi Classes
Beginner’s Tai Chi Classes in Glasgow. Classes are suitable for complete beginners and all levels of ability. Tai Chi Chuan is normally taught as a sequence of movements called a Form. The Form is usually done slowly and with minimum use of physical strength. New students at Flowering Lotus Tai Chi classes start by learning the Form. You can join a class at any time although most people prefer to join within the first couple of weeks of teaching. It is possible to start later in the form as there is always plenty of revision to allow you to catch up.
Tai Chi Glasgow South
Tai Chi Glasgow South is the home of Flowering Lotus Tai Chi, based in Glasgow, Scotland, offers teaching in the principles of Tai Chi through practice of the Cheng Man-ching Form, Push Hands, Sabre Form, Sword Form and Fencing
Tai Chi for Health
Taking the form of a series of slow, meditative body movements that were originally designed for self-defense Tai Chi promotes stress reduction and fosters greater physical awareness improving balance flexibility and strength. In addition to improving general health research suggests that Tai Chi can be of benefit to sufferers of many common health conditions.
Tai Chi & Meditation
Tai Chi is an exercise for the body and mind, offering a way to achieve a natural state of relaxation and a sense of inner peace and calm. It can also be treated as a Spiritual practice providing a way or path (Tao/ Dao) to help deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.
The Martial Art
As a martial art Tai Chi teaches us a method of dealing with conflict employing its central tenets of relaxation and balance. “The softest in the world overcomes the hardest.
The insubstantial can penetrate where there is no opening.”
