Our Making Games workshops are now open for booking!
Every Saturday afternoon for 7 weeks, we will be offering a different games themed creative activity for children aged 3-12. All make different games which are not only fun but support development and can be used time and time again.
All activities will reuse scrap and donated materials.
January 20th: Track board games
Design your own numbered squares and dice board game, complete with short cuts, escape routes and of course forfeits!
January 27th: Tic tac toe / solitaire
Create a beautiful tic tac toe or solitaire game using decorated stones, card or buttons as the pieces and store in a stylish tin.
February 3rd: Target games
Can you get the ping pong balls into the holes or the planes through the targets? Create your own skills based target games.
February 10th: Marble run
Grab the family and work together in our giant marble run challenge. Get the ball from the table top to the floor with at least one bend.

March 3rd: Beat the tiger/ robot/ creature board game
Play individually or in teams against the board game character. Simple jigsaw, numbers and strategy game for ages 3+ to make.
Cost is £3 for one child and £2 thereafter (e.g. a family with 4 children would cost £9 for one session).
Further discounts are available for booking all 7 sessions. £18 for one child and £12 thereafter (e.g. a family with 4 children would cost £54 for all 7 sessions).
Slots available at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm each Saturday. Places are limited so booking is advisable, however drop in on the day is possible if there is space to accommodate.
Booking can be made by message on Facebook, by email Makedogrow@gmail.com or by phone 0141 4405998 (available during opening hours).
All sessions take around one hour, depending on the level of detail the children wish to add to their creations.
We love doing activities as a family so parents and carers are requested to stay and enjoy the creative fun alongside the children. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge.
We have a small seating area and toys within the workshop for those families with younger children and babies.
Please note that many of the sessions use paint and glue and some use small items such as beads.
Our clothes and toys shop will be open as usual. Children are welcome to continue the fun playing with the toys in stock or drawing on our chalkboard wall.
