Out of the Ordinary: Photography Exhibition By Older People
Out of the Ordinary is an exhibition of digital, macro, analogue & cyanotype photography by older people who are members of Impact Arts’ Craft Cafe workshops in Govan.
About Out of the Ordinary: Photography Exhibition By Older People
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
As part of this project, Craft Café members have been exploring themes of the extraordinary in the everyday. This includes details of daily lives that normally go unnoticed, objects with special meaning, and daily rituals and routines that might seem trivial but are really important to us.
Every individuals’ photograph is a reflection of themselves, like an alternative self-portrait or a snapshot of their lives. We have a diverse group at Craft Café and this rich photographic collection reflects their bright, colourful and individual characters.
Craft Café Govan workshops are funded by Elderpark Housing Association Limited and the Scottish Government's People and Communities fund. The service is a vital community resource for older people in Govan, offering an opportunity for over-60s to engage their creativity, learn new artistic skills and socialise with community members their own age.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Out of the Ordinary: Photography Exhibition By Older People are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
