Join us this Summer for the ReallySmallScience Holiday Club. Children of all ages (6-13) can work with us in a real lab, doing science experiments on dirt, sludge, jelly and goo. Meet chemical engineers and learn what kind of work a chemical engineer does.
Our club, led by engineers and researchers from the Department of Chemical Engineering, will run on the following dates:
Wednesday 4 July 2018 (Sludge clean-up)
Thursday 5 July 2018 (Sludgy clay)
Wednesday 11 July 2018 (Sludge for protection)
Thursday 12 July 2018 (Engineering sludgy sandcastles)
Wednesday 18 July 2018 (Nanodirt and nanojelly)
Thursday 19 July 2018 (Nanopolymers)
Wednesday 25 July 2018 (Sludge for protection)
Thursday 26 July 2018 (Sludgy sandcastles)
Each session runs from 9:30 - 12:30 and will take place in one of our teaching laboratories. (Labcoats and safety glasses will be provided)
More information on the activities provided each day can be found on the ReallySmallScience website (http://bionanostrath.wixsite.com/reallysmallscience/rss-holiday-club)
Each day we will cover a different sludgy engineering topic and you can also sign-up for mutliple days.
All of our club leaders are experienced science communicators and have run activities in schools across Glasgow and during science festivals.
We welcome both primary and secondary school scientists, with activities tailored to each age group.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for ReallySmallScience Holiday Club are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
