Ballet Dance Class for Adult Beginners
From April 17th 7pm - 8pm
£46 (£41) 7 week block
Suitable for complete beginners, this course is a perfect introduction to classical ballet technique. A fun, step by step guide, covering basic ballet positions and movements that will help you to improve your posture, coordination and strength.

This class will lay the foundations for you to progress to our Improver Level classes. A great way to start your ballet journey.

What to wear: Ballet shoes or bare feet.

Ballet Dance Class for Adult Improvers
From April 17th 6pm - 7pm
£46 (£41) 7 week block
The ideal way to follow on from a beginners ballet course, or for those returning to ballet and wishing to refresh or build strength and confidence, under expert and supportive guidance.

This is a faster paced class, and you'll be learning a wider variety of vocabulary, including turns and jumps, as well as learning longer sequences of steps in the centre.

What to wear: Ballet shoes or bare feet.

Contemporary Dance for Adult Beginners
From April 17th 8pm - 9pm
£46 (£41) 7 week block
An introduction to contemporary technique, this uplifting class explores the fluidity and strength of contemporary dance.

Through floor sequences to technical exercises, dynamic travelling to fluid phrases, we will use the fundamentals of contemporary dance to get moving and experience the joy that is dancing!

What to wear: Comfy clothes and bare feet.

Contemporary Dance for Adult Improvers
From April 17th 8pm - 9pm
£46 (£41) 7 week block

A contemporary class which will introduce and build upon alignment, strength, breath, and get you moving with ease and fluidity.

After a thorough warm-up, the class will progress into travelling and sequences that will challenge you while you experience the joy that is dancing!

What to wear: comfy clothes and bare feet.

Funk Workout Dance Fitness Class for Adults
From April 17th 8pm - 9pm
£46 (£41) 7 week block
Community Dance Glasgow present Funk Workout with Joan Beattie.

An upbeat street dance and commercial based workout with body conditioning exercises included.

This class really gets the heart rate going and you're guaranteed to feel amazing (and exhausted) afterwards. If you're looking for fun and energetic dance routines as well as a dance class that keeps you fit then come along and join us. You work to your own ability and can make this class as challenging or easy as you want. But remember the harder you work the fitter you'll get! And don't worry about remembering the dance routines as they are repeated weekly and Joan dances them with you.

What to wear: Comfy clothes and trainers. Bring a bottle of water, a towel and prepare to sweat!

Hula Hoop Dance Fitness Class for Adults
From April 17th 6pm - 7pm
£46 (£41) 7 week block
Classes will cover a range of beginner hula hoop moves, exploring the hoop as a dance technique, alongside learning how we can utilise these skills within a fitness context.

This class will also cater for students who are more advanced and interested in multi hooping, (being able to control several hoops on different parts of the body allmoving at the same time), as well as skills suitable for the stage. As a tutor, Polly will always work with everyone on a one to one basis throughout the class too. The class will start and finish with yoga moves to increase flexibility and core strength which is vital for anyone wanting to hula hoop full time as a hobby or professionally. It will be a fun active class suitable for all abilities!

What to wear: Cotton clothing, nothing too loose or slippery. Bright colours and fun costumes welcome!
