In the two hour hand-building workshop you will be shown a basic technique with which to make at least two forms (including a bottle/vase/organic vessel and a pinch bowl). You'll return two weeks later to glaze and raku fire your pots outside in the Project Studio courtyard. This course is an ideal introduction to working with clay for those with little or no experience. If already experienced at hand-building you may develop your own projects (where suitable). So called ‘Western’ raku employs a fast method of firing and can produce unpredictable and colourful results.
