About Quarriers Glasgow Group Activities

Glasgow Group Activities was established in 2010 with the aim of providing group activities for adults with learning disabilities in the north west of Glasgow. Early 2014, Glasgow Group Activities expanded to the south side of Glasgow with a new and exciting programme three days a week.

What we do
To increase community links, Group Activities takes place in local community centres and employs experienced tutors to deliver their programme, offering a range of activities including:

music
drama
art
jewellery making
tea-dance
IT
massage therapy
bowling
musical theatre groups performing at the groups
celebration of yearly festivals and the chance to try a variety of food
summer excursions in the community

The service runs various fundraising events, such as sponsored swims, musical events and sponsored walks to enhance the service and help purchase specialist items.

Group Activities is constantly developing to suit the needs of the group. The service also has links with the Quarriers Community Connections team and Quarriers Inclusion Team who help to further develop the service and empower the group members.
