About Ceramics: Getting Started
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
This 9-week course introduces students to a range of hand building, molding and finishing techniques suitable to make both complex functional ceramic pieces as well as sculptural objects. Students will explore a range of techniques including pinch pots/coiling, slab building, working with plaster and press molds as well a variety of glazing and finishing techniques. By the end of the course students will have produced a number of pieces in clay and developed their creative and practical skills in this material. Students will also be encouraged to develop their own self-directed projects throughout the course.
