All makes can be taken home. We reuse scrap and recycled materials wherever possible, encouraging wider thinking and developing creativity.
Sessions last 1.5 hours and parents/carers are welcome to sign in and drop off children for this time. There is no obligation to block book, however attending weekly will allow children to complete larger projects where materials require time for drying etc.
For the last 6 week block before the summer holidays, we will focus on a different scrap material to reuse each week:
19th May - Fabric: upcycling old t-shirts with fabric paint techniques.
26th May - Wood: make your own yahtzee dice and mini robots.
2nd June - Cardboard: design your own decorative bowl or piece of wall art from old tubes and boxes.
9th June - Plastic: create a practical pencil holder from bottles and tubs.
16th June - Paper : learn to make your own paper from waste flyers and magazines.
23rd June - Metal: preparing for holiday fun with tin travel games.
Make Do and Grow is a social enterprise focussed on supporting growing families, developing creativity and encouraging reuse.
