Many of the amazing social enterprises, charities and community projects working with families and children in the Govan area and beyond are coming together for one big fun day on October 12th!

About The Family Social

Head along to the Pearce Institute between 11am and 4pm for a chance to find out more about all the products, services, clubs and classes available, with free fun activities and taster sessions throughout the day.

We'll be showcasing some of the organisations and activities on our Facebook event page over the next week but here is a glimpse at the fun and resources on offer...

- Arts, crafts and games with Make Do and Grow
- Quality reuse and new School Uniform sales with Apparel Xchange
- A children's movie showing with Govan Housing Association.
- Fun and food with Urban Roots and Moogety Grub Hub.
- Clothing Mend workshops with Decent projects
- Nature activities with the RSPB
- Hand crafted products from The Gilded Lily and information on the Empowering Young Mums programme.
- Live radio Broadcasting and a chance to be on air with Southern Sound

There will also be a chance to find out more about:
- Homework clubs with Govan Community Project
- The Men's shed
- Govan Community Boxing Club
- Shukokai Karate
- Family Home Starter Packs with Starter Packs
Plus more being added.

Entry to the event is free and open to all. Come along and join in!
