Make Your Own Sweatshirt

Bearly Ginger's sweatshirt class will give you a great introduction to using stretch fabrics and you'll leave with a soft, cosy sweatshirt and in a size of your choice - perfect for the winter months!

Make Your Own Sweatshirt

About Make Your Own Sweatshirt

We want to teach you how to make contemporary clothes that you can actually wear.

In this class you will:

-Learn to be confident with stretch fabrics and learn about different weights and varieties available.

- Look at the Sweatshirt 'block' and understand how your sweatshirt is going to be constructed.

- Learn different stitches and seams often used in stretch garments and get to practice using an overlocker machine.

- Cut your fabric and sew your own sweatshirt!

You will get your own copy of step-by-step instructions to take home so you can make your own sweatshirt designs again and again!

For an extra £15 you can have your own copy of the card sweatshirt pattern to take home in either Small, Medium or Large. Please select this option when booking and advise us of the size you would like in the comments section when paying.

Materials

We will provide you with all equipment needed and a black rib option for your cuffs and neckline.

For an extra £10 you can have also have your sweatshirt fabric included.

If you wish to choose your own sweatshirt fabric that is great - we will email you after booking with some tips for picking the correct fabric. This allows your sweatshirt to be completely unique and designed by you!

Skill Level

We would recommend you are comfortable using a sewing machine and have some experience sewing a variety of items before booking this class. You can always try our Introduction to sewing class first!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Make Your Own Sweatshirt are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
