This is a short course in hand building, suitable for total beginners or intermediate learners. If you are new to working with clay you will learn the basics of how to roll out a slab evenly and use templates to cut and assemble 3-dimensional functional pots. From there you will have the opportunity to develop those skills in projects of your own design supported by Siobhan. You will learn about the application of glazes and firing ceramics to create completed pieces. For those that have previous experience of working with clay, you will be supported in undertaking more challenging hand building skills and are welcome to bring images and ideas of projects you would like to undertake and assisted to achieve professional results. You will be working with earthenware clay and glazes.
