Glasgow Care Foundation was established in 1874 by a a group of businessmen, originally called 'The Association for organising charitable relief and repressing mendicity', before the NHS and the Welfare State were established they supported the poorest people of Glasgow. Roll forward 145 years and sadly our work and aim is still the same!
With your help, we continue to support families and individuals living in poverty in Glasgow providing basic household goods and supermarket gift cards to buy food.
Shockingly there is over 37,000 children living in poverty in Glasgow!
Our aim is to relieve poverty like this in the Glasgow!
Please come along to our Summer Lunch, network at our welcome reception, enjoy a glass of fizz or a summer cocktail followed by a delicious 2 Course Lunch and Tea or Coffee. Your ticket price includes a donation to the Foundation so you will be lending a 'Helping Hand' and be able to hear more about our work. You may also want to enter our raffle to win some fantastic prizes.
Look forward to seeing you on the 7th June for a fun filled afternoon of good food, good company and great entertainment including Mr Fabulous 'James Smith', Musicians from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and our fantastic vocalist Michelle Hall.
