About John Maclean’s Southside: A Musical Walking Tour
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Born in Pollokshaws in 1879, teacher, campaigner, anti-war activist, freedom fighter, republican and revolutionary, John Maclean was, above all else, a Southsider.
Yet, less than a century on, John Maclean is largely unknown except through music. This walking tour, organised by Johnmaclean100 will use the songs of Hamish Henderson, Matt McGinn and many others to re-tell the Maclean story in a 150 minute tour of his Southside, starting at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall and ending at Shawlands Cross, right outside Langside Hall.
Part of a wider campaign to put John Maclean back on the map.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for John Maclean’s Southside: A Musical Walking Tour are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
