Imagine embracing the present moment whilst on a weekend retreat break, allowing yourself time to relax and switch off from the busyness of day-to-day life.

What if you could give yourself permission to have time away from the constant to-do list, reducing your stress levels and finding balance.

We all know our lives can be non-stop, and we’re hearing how important self-care is; not only to ourselves, but to help those around us. Let’s face it, we can’t pour from an empty jug!

This weekend-long retreat is a fantastic way to do all that; take some time away form our busy lives and look after ourselves; body, mind, and being.

Mindfulness and meditation are extremely beneficial in reducing stress, building resilience, and maintaining and improving mental health, amongst many other things. The retreat will include various practices that can be utilised by anyone, regardless of religion, culture, or background, and is completely secular. Mindfulness can help individuals cultivate greater awareness of themselves, their environment, and gain more understanding and perspective on thoughts, emotions and their inner world. The techniques encourage us to transition from ‘doing’ mode to ‘being’ mode, which in today’s busy world, can be extremely useful for grounding us in the present moment, minimising our distractions.

The weekend will consist of delicious and nutritious veggie meals prepared by a wonderful cook, variations of meditations and mindful movements throughout the weekend to suit everyone, various informal and relaxed workshops to allow learning and development of practices, and reflective periods to provide alone time to gather thoughts and fully immerse into your present experience. There will also be periods of silence, to dive further into the here and now.

The retreat will be held in a Country House Estate, situated in a rural location adjacent to the small town of Beith in North Ayrshire. Beith is a 30-minute drive or a 35-minute bus ride from Glasgow. Please get in touch if you are traveling from anywhere else and would like help with transport links. The full address will be provided, alongside what to bring and other information, after booking your deposit.

The deposit, paid through Eventbrite, is £50.00, and is non-refundable. For the full price of the retreat, there are two levels of pricing; £240 waged and £195 unwaged/low-income. If you book before Friday 31st May, as an early bird discount, the full cost will be £195.

The remaining amount will be due in August. If your circumstances change for whatever reason and you need to discuss payment options, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I want to make this retreat accessible to as many as possible, irrespective of financial circumstances. Paying in instalments is also an option; for instance, if your paying £195 - £50 taken at time of booking, and two instalments of £72.50 can be made in the lead up to the retreat.

Yes, the retreat is suitable for people 18 years of age and over.

I've struggled with mental health recently. Is the retreat suitable for me?
Everyone is unique with their mental health. What's best is to give me a call and discuss the retreat to ensure it is suitable.

Do I have my own room, or do we share with others?
Everyone will be sharing a room with at least one other retreatee, and the rooms will be single sex.
