About Happy Endings: Artifice, Art & Dating
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
The exhibition of 2 and 3d portraits is clumsy, oddly pitched and awkward. Angharad Odborne explores the uneasy, sometimes comical experience of dating. We become persons interchangeable. A fiction of ourselves, exaggerated cartoons. We project our hopes, people are reimagined. A fantasy of puppets and playthings.
These are impressions of a person, stitched together. Like many dates, for one Friday night only. Plus an awkward bit on Saturday where the artist will be tidying up and making her apologies. Angharad Odborne (GSA graduate 2005) uses thread and ink to create embroidered illustrations.
Arlington Baths Gallery, Glasgow.
Friday 31st May - Sunday 2nd June 2019.
Performances at 18.30 and 19.30.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Happy Endings: Artifice, Art & Dating are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
