Bucket Hat Workshop
Join the team at Rags To Riches for their upcycling workshop where you'll make a Summer bucket hat from waste textiles such as brightly coloured old shirts!
About Bucket Hat Workshop
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
An intermediate level workshop teaching how to machine sew to a pattern. Make a Summer bucket hat from waste textiles such as brightly coloured old shirts and wear it with pride.
All materials, equipment and light refreshments are provided.
The fashion industry is notoriously one of the biggest culprits in driving overconsumption and creating excessive waste. In the midst of this "throwaway culture", one of the ways we as consumers can address the negative impact is to extend the life of fabrics and reduce the amount of material that ends up as landfill.
Our workshop not only gives you the chance to flex your machine sewing skill muscles, by using fabric remnants, it also means that your creations will be unique, colourful and a variety of patterns and textures that you won't find in large volume, commercial product lines.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Bucket Hat Workshop are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
