Mindfulness is such a buzz word these days; with so many things adapted to be ‘mindful’!

But what is mindfulness? What does it mean to be truly mindful? How can it impact your life? It is just all about meditation?

It’s completely understandable why there’s so much confusion about mindfulness; there are a lot of people using this word, without the true depth of knowledge behind what it is.

That’s why I love to run these introductory sessions; to break through some of the buzz, the hype, and really getting down to what mindfulness really means for us.

Mindfulness has so many benefits; reducing stress, anxiety and worry, feeling more confident, having more concentration and focus, and cultivating qualities such as compassion, kindness, and understanding.

These intro sessions are suitable for everyone, no previous experience required, and are a chance to enjoy an evening together with like-minded people learning in an informal way the ins and outs of what mindfulness is, and the positive impact it can have on your life!

Since being introduced to mindfulness myself over eight years ago, I’ve embraced it into my life in such a powerful way; and it’s truly my passion. What’s more, I absolutely love to share this gift with others, and I look forward to sharing it with you too!

The Workshop
This two-hour workshop is split into three parts:

The first segment is an in-depth introduction to mindfulness and meditation; diving into definitions, theories and real-life examples, whilst incorporating aspects of neuroscience; providing scientific evidence to what's covered.
The second segment is an opportunity to experience meditations together; allowing for first-hand experience of practices.
Lastly, we close the evening with a group discussion, where participants can ask any questions they may have and receive support and guidance on how best to take forward their mindfulness practice.
